Rider University - Notice history

On Friday, June 30th beginning at 5am and completing at 7am OIT will be replacing Rider's legacy, end-of-life firewall. During this time there will be intermittent loss of connectivity to all on-prem services.

Production Security Patching will begin on Thursday, June 22nd at 10pm. and complete no later than Friday June 23rd at 4am.

Affected services will include Active Directory, Fischer, Pharos Printing, EnrollmentDB, 4D, Evisions, R25SIS, CBORD, Facilities BMS and various other services.

This Thursday from 10pm to Friday 4am we will be conducting patching in our production environment.

Outage Notification:
A full power shutdown will take place on campus on Friday, May 19 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to perform annual preventative maintenance, repairs and service on the campus power system.
During the outage, generators will provide power to Daly Dining Hall, General Services and West House.

Additionally, the college's primary Datacenter and Network Processing equipment will remain up. What that means, is that while most buildings on campus will not have any connectivity, the college's web presence will not be affected. Off campus users will still be able to access the website, Banner, Canvas etc. Please note that phones on campus will not be functional during this time.
